There are so many reasons for celebration! The most important? The celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. I never cease to wonder at how God could leave heaven for this earth, when there is so much suffering and sadness around here, and He knew what was in store even before it happened. He must love us very much!
I’m also here to celebrate old dogs learning new tricks. (Boy am I hoping that isn’t just an Aussie saying!)
It’s exciting to see the lovely new printable in the Sonshine Stamp Co shop, and exciting that I worked out what to do with them! I’ve created one last Christmas card for the year, using the Watercolor Advent Printables and the Celebrate Stamp set.
I printed this sheet onto white card, and then photocopied it at 50% to give me baubles in two sizes. I carefully cut around several pieces, and layered them onto a piece of white card. A piece of vellum between the layers allowed the bigger balls to sit back into the background.
I then hand stitched the strings for each of the balls, first punching small holes, and then doing backstitch with one strand of embroidery thread. Both the vellum and the background card ended up with embroidered strings.
The sentiment comes from the Celebrate Stamp set which is one of my favourites. I stamped this onto the vellum with Stazon ink, so that it wouldn’t smudge.
I wish you all a fabulous Christmas. May you all find ample reason to celebrate as we share the excitement of Jesus’ Birthday!
