Hello everyone, it’s Lindsey! Did you see that there is a new digital printable available over in the Sonshine Stamp Co. shop!? I couldn’t wait to use it in my Bible and with the help of Google and the Holy Spirit, I was led to do some journaling and rejoicing in Habbakuk.
You can find the process video for my entry at the end of this post or over on my YouTube channel (there might be a special little treat at the very end of the video 😉)
God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the deer’s;
he makes me tread on my high places.
As soon as I saw this new printable I knew that I NEEDED to have that deer in my Bible. So, with the simple Google search of: “deer Bible verse”, I found this verse in Habakukk which was exactly what I needed.
A year ago I started down a crazy road of health difficulties. A simple migraine turned into days, weeks, and then months of an unrelenting headache. After several tests, it was discovered that I had a small stroke. This stroke was unrelated to the headache (which they’ve still yet to figure out) but would have not been caught had it not been for the headache (crazy, I know).
Luckily, I didn’t experience any huge side effects but there have been some which have made for an exhausting year. One of these is an effect on my speech….I can’t remember words or they just come out like a stuttering mess of nonsense. Now, for someone who’s job and passion is speaking on the internet, this makes for a really frustrating scenario.
This verse and this time of journaling helped remind me that during these times I need to lean into God and fully surrender myself to Him. God is my strength during these times of unknown and because of this, I will rejoice. This isn’t my favorite season of life but it also isn’t the worse and I know with His strength and love, I will endure.
So, please excuse the stuttering and incorrect words in today’s video. I left them in there instead of editing them out because it’s just real life and how things are right now 😊
Until next time!
